Jorge Hynd is a multifaceted Brazilian photographer in a constant pursuit of a comprehensive vision of life through the imagetic universe. At the early years of his career, around 2008, he self-taught photography, posteriorly acquiring a photography course in São Paulo, Brazil. During his stay in Ireland, Italy and Brazil between 2012 and 2015, he has developed and matured a passion about street and documental photography, but also working in studios and controlled environments with fashion, ad and Fine Art Photography – both digital and analogic (darkroom photography).
From 2017, he took his projects more and more to the experimental field using the body, where photography became not only a form of artistic expression, but also a tool to document his studies related to movement, contemporary dance, somatic education, budo/martiality, sexuality, eroticism, spirituality, self knowledge – and how all of this manifest in a social and individual way.
Nowadays Jorge’s works travel from the classical portraiture to surrealist images, using digital and analog to bring his ideas to the material world. Today Jorge is based in São Paulo/SP – Brazil, spending most of his time on personal work, darkroom and photoshoots. Please, come by 🙂
